I'm no mechanic, but have you checked all of the fuses?
clean the throttle body or air filter. The Ecu probably learned to rev higher as it dirtied up. The power was cut and it reset to factory settings expecting a perfectly clean throttle body
Is it a new battery? Check the voltage while it's on and make sure your fuses are good. Can you start up and drive for awhile? I need more info.

If you haven't done either, do so regardless of this issue.
Your engine and its performance will thank you

The ecu reset itself. Sit with the car idling and feather the throttle to keep it from dying for 10-15 mins. That'll teach the ecu how to idle properly

Let the car sit for 20 mins, the ecu needs to reset itself. Its a Subaru thing.

its funny, people think that cleaning the throttle body might fix this, and it possibly could. but most likely you will will screw up your idle. by cleaning the carbon off of the throttle body the computer still sets the lowest commandable angle to the highest set point to continue idling. meaning when the carbon is gone and more air can come into the intake you idle super high.

This, it's normal.
