if you just want the looks then buy a nissan gazelle, looks nearly the same and can find them cheap. if you wanted something that would feel close to an ae86 then get a ke70

I'd also nominate the Corolla GTS (AE92) for looks too. Basically the same body shape, lines and pop up lights, except its FWD and A LOT cheaper and easier to find in decent condition

Why not get both? Btw the ae86 isnt expensive to maintain if you build it properly and put a nicer engine in it.
