14mi here, I-12 is a 1.5 hr drive at any time of the day unless it's 2am
my 323i gets around 30mpg and i made it comfy for this purpose
it gets ridiculous how many people are on the road and how few of them can actually drive
>live downtown
>work slightly outside of downtown
>always going opposite traffic
>never need to touch the highway
>10 minutes to work, 20 minutes home

Get a motorcycle and split lanes, faggot.

i wish
My city is set up in such a fucked up way
>new business all built on one side of I-10
>all residential areas built on the quieter side
>in the morning EVERYONE goes to the business side
>in the afternoon they all go back to the residential side

Also stealership hours so im farting my way to work on a motorcycle with nobody on the road, literally everyone up that early is on the highway and I'm on city streets, I could cut the time in half if fucking MO-PAC wasn't under constant construction and grooved the entire way from home to work, felt like the bike wanted to rip itself right out from under me when I tried it
26 mi one way, but I got used to it a long time ago- easy driving and taking my time makes it a lot more relaxing.
Just spent an hour driving 20 fuckin miles to work. Sucks.

405 from San Fernando Valley to LAX. ~30 miles
45 minutes Lane splitting in motorcycle, 1.5 hours in a car
55 mpg in a motorcycle,
16 in my truck
Used to do a 50 mile commute to get to my university as my university has 3 difference branches throughout the county and a branch in another county I would commute to.
Now it's a 25 mile commute as my classes are closer this semester.
