How long does it personally take you to get a "feel" for a newly bought car? The drive to get it home? A week of daily driving?

Probably 2-3 weeks. My DD is fairly high-mileage, so I try to keep in tune with it as much as I can.
That being said, my cars are always talking to me and teaching me about themselves. Muh truck is 278k miles and I'm now learning more about it responds to inputs now that the suspension is starting to sag and the motor mounts are new.
