Does using AC use more gas in your car? I keep hearing some people saying yes and some people saying no.
It does, but it's not a hard hit to your mileage anyways b
The power to run the compressor has to come from somewhere.
And it's not a small amount of power, like the difference between your headlights being on or not.

Depending on engine and AC it can be something like 8-10% increased fuel consumption...
On small petrol cars it's quite a lot actually, and you feel a noticeable loss in power.
It equalizes somewhere around 55 mph. Anything below that and it's more efficient to open windows. Anything higher and the drag is too much.

This is true. It obviously depends on your vehicle, but generally it's actually more efficient to run the AC.
