I have a 16, would be nice to close it when I leave in morning but I honestly would forget/not care 90% of the time.

The only thing I can see it nice for, is when you ultimately gut the mid muffler and do a cat delete, you can go from pretty loud to extremely loud at least. I have a solo performance catback and it wakes the dead, I can't even imagine with off road long tubes.

I have a 2017 and I'm running H-Pipe and no mufflers. It's loud as shit, but I love it. Although just cruising or idling it isn't horrible. It sounds really good.

How much louder would it be taking out the cats?

Porsches only have two. And even without sport mode it's still louder than your pigfat car.
