Coolant line going to the heater core?

The "crap" would, if thats what it is, be coolant that had slowly leaked out and mixed with condensation, making the yellow paste/mayo-like substance

Prior owner niggered it to fix a leak. Leave it alone because if you touch it you may have to replace the hose and intake manifold.

and for incaseies you might want to source the heater line. if the female end is corroded you have to replace the whole fucking line.

or there is this part (check thread size and pitch) and you run standard hose and clamps to the heater core.
