Anyone here uses quad as a daily commuter? Is it a bad idea?

Depends on what kind of quad, but generally; they're not very fuel efficient, not all that comfy, you'll grow to hate rain, offroad tires wear out quite quickly when used on the road, and for the unexperienced driver its a deathtrap

Should have probably mentioned that I have balance issues, I have problem with riding a bicycle so I suppose I would die right away on a motorcycle

Is uni through the woods from where you live or something? Around here (kentucky) they're not allowed on the road. There's nothing more I'd like to do then ride my quad across town for work, but take it from a guy that's been tackled off one by the police, they're not generally allowed on the road.
