I had put a new(used) motor in it a few months ago, bought it for like 700 with the shipping and put it in. along with just doing the brakes and wheel bearings I didnt really fuck with it too much.

Theeeeen it got stolen. 2nd gear is fucked, body damage all along the passenger side, ripped my fender liner and the wiring to that side out so I had to replace that. had to get a new ignition lock cylinder.

I've tried to sell it but the best offers I got were under a grand. I would sell it(it just continues to cost more money) but I need it to get to school and work. The motor itself is strong as fuck still and only has about 87k miles on it now, and i've gone on 100+ mile trips in it.

What hype? Most people hate these cars. They say the electric steering coupled with sub 200whp pretty much makes it the worst hot hatch, but these things are a $400 tune away from being a 240whp/260ft-lbs.

I've had mine for about 4 months now and I love it. Originally was getting a FiST but couldnt find one sub 15k that I wanted. Took this for 10k. It's extremely responsive and while the steering feels kinda dead, when I test drove a FoST it felt twice as bad (FoST was 2nd choice, Veloster was 3rd).

It's great, get a base BRZ with cloth seats (preferably used with low miles). In my opinion it's not worth the extra few thousand for the limited trim: leather seats,fog lights,heated mirrors,push to start and shit. Im not sure but I think the 86 is alot more expensive even without the performance package the BRZ optioned has. Pilot supersports,brakepads,and header is all the car needs.

the ZR1 drives pretty awesomely. You can tell it's supposed to be a racey suspension, and because it's riding so low you have to be aware of every speed bump and dip in the road. Tech wise, it has a CD player and gives me all the drive data I need (mileage, fuel consumption, etc). I have to be careful with the battery, sometimes it will drain itself without much warning, but I figure it's worth the risk.
