What's a good Spring and Shock combo for street use? I don't want coilovers but I'd also like the nicest possible spring/shock combo.
Eibachs and either Bilstein B8s or Koni Yellows.
B6s if you're a poorfag.
>My only knowledge is of E30s
H&R springs are also good but idk if they even exist outside of E30 land.

the stock ones.

> the stock ones.
That is terrible advice lmao

Pretty much any after market "upgrades" is going to up your spring rates and make it less comfy. Some just drop your ride height a bit.

Yee, OEM spec is the way to go most of the time.

Proper mono tubes are pretty awesome.

considering that 90% of offbrand stuff is utter crap (pic related)
Is it true if i get springs to drop my car by an inch it'll wear my struts faster?
Eibach Prokit x Koni Yellow Adjustable Shocks is GOAT but sort of expensive. Much much much better than OEM stuff and shitty entry level upgrade paths like Tokico HPs and whatever.
It depends on the fucking car you NEET.

Stick to the bus mate.

Lowering springs are mostly OK if the spring rates are matched correctly. Putting sticky tires on and putting more force on your suspension will wear it sooner.
If your leaving OEM land, matching everthing together is the most important thing.

Bilstein has some lower/stiffer setups pre picked for some models.

Adjustable shocks are mostly bullshit for street use. Most people lack the knowledge or the equipment to actually tune them properly.

>90% of offbrand stuff is utter crap
Sadly true. Even shit like BC golds or "D2 racing" that people swear by are absolutely terrible on a dyno.

Bilstein shocks and eibach springs usually mix good, had h&r before in my ecobox but they were pretty harsh, eibach is near to stock comfort wise but removed body roll
