Hyundai has gotten better, but I think the bigger thing to note is the decline of the Japanese offerings.

for some reason, most 4 cylinder hyundai has are complete garbage. the only good 4 banger they made was that 1.6l they have in the elantra, veloster, accent and soul. the lambda v6 is extremely solid. besides these 2 and the v8, everything else is garbage.
