I'm looking to lift my 07' classic Silverado 3". How hard is it if I do it myself. Also how much would it cost if got it done professionally vs. diy? Thanks in advance

Depend where you are. I had mine done for $99/hr and I think it took 2 or 3 hours. What lift kit are you looking at? Also, if it's 2wd, don't fucking bother you poser cunt

It's super easy but you need a hydraulic jack with some wood blocks on it.
I'm not going to bother looking it up, but I'm going to assume coils in front, leafs in rear.
Usually, you don't even need to lift the back as most trucks are shorter in the front, but in case, longer u bolts and lift blocks do it. If you're going over an inch, you will need wedges as well to correct driveline angle.
The rear can be done with just some tall jackstands and a floor jack.
The front is a massive cunt. If you have SFA (larger truck likely) then do the same as the rear, but you will probably have to pull the track bar and maybe listen all the upper and lower link bolts.
If it's ifs with just big ass coils, just kill yourself.
If it's Ifs with struts, then you have a few options, none of which safely get you 3 inches.
If it's Torsen bar front however, it's piss easy, just tighten the adjuster bolts all the way to get 2 inches. Or replace the keys for 3.5 inches.
You will either have to get longer shocks or extend them.
You will also kill yourself replacing the keys, but I recommend a large gear puller with a chain in place of the Jaws. At least if it fucks off, it won't drive through your skull.

Not doing it to look cool you idiot, during Harvey i seen how bad the floods are around where i live and though i was able to get through them I'd feel better if I was a bit higher

I drove through a flooded road last winter for shits. It was probably 24in deep, not too bad for 35s.
Later that spring I had to replace my lower ball joints, and I need to do the uppers too but I'm putting it off
