If any company were to make a car with pop-up headlights today, they'd do something funky to the shape of the hood to make the headlights look angry.

Depends on design language. I can imagine muh angery Lexus look with pop-ups, but guess it would look more like Jarama (It would look extremely funny, when during the day car would just have tiny stripe for DRL and rest was hidden under the hood)

With most companies bland design I don't think any could do something cool with current looks of most cars.
