The 4.3 Dexcooled Vortec sucks. If it's not eating intake/head gaskets it's the CSFI module inside the manifold or the 4L60E taking a crap Or nylon injected U joints. The day the GF's 99 Blazer blew a head gasket and locked up the motor, I was so happy because I never had to work on that POS again (dead at 110k miles.)

Have a 2002 4.3 auto 2wd ext cab and I'm planning on replacing it with a ZR2 Blazer or S10 next spring.

Ranger or S10. Or an old Cheyenne. Every other small truck is a mimic of these with cheaper manufacturing.

I live in 3rd world so in my country you either get Daihatsu Hijet, Suzuki Carry, or Mitsubishi Minicab for almost everything if you don't mind death threats from no hood or very small hood designs in an accident

For full hood designs, Isuzu Panther. If people need bigger trucks for status symbols or more extreme environments use (mines, jungles, swamps etc) we'll get modified Toyota Hilux, Mitsubishi Triton, or Ford Ranger
