Also modern cars should not be pushed beacuse of the way they're timing belts are designed.

You also can't easily push start a diesel, compared to a petrol, need juice for the glowplugs

I used to bump start an old petrol Ford every day by rolling down the house drive before I replaced the battery

However you do it, make sure the battery will hold charge though
