Also Craigslist thread.

lol are you serious?
But the answer is mo, E36 M3's in north america are all garbage. especially the convertible ones. yes even with the hard top.
but most importantly because it has a rebuilt title and thats why its "cheap"

Also here is what you should be looking at.

no*
>>17790815
Thank you. And I don't really want a convertible. It's just an M3 or E30 that I want.
>>17790824
>It's just an M3 or an E30
Well if you want an M3, why are you looking at an automatic convertible with a hardtop and a rebuilt title?
Thats asking for trouble.
anyway This is what you want if you want an E36 M3
>$12k
>Clean title
>not a convertible

>Also wanting either an E36 M3 or just a base model E30
weird. do you even know anything about these cars or are you underage or soemthing
>>17790839
No I'm not underage. I'm saying if there's a reasonably priced M3 I'd be willing to work on it. The automatic wouldn't necessarily be a deal breaker either because I'm not underage. But I just like E30s in general and I would take a really clean one of those too.
>>17790850
you sound underage. Why in god's name you would ever consider an automatic E36 M3 with a REBUILT title
anything with a rebuilt or salvaged title wouldn't make a good project/street car. Only good for parts.
You won't find a reasonably priced M3 because they are M3's and are lusted after.
>>17790850
As for an E30 you may have to travel a bit to find a clean one because there are non in your area

>>17790870
Reasonable being like, 12k. And I didn't see the rebuilt title part. But also, rebuilt doesn't always mean bad. Especially if you were to keep the m3 chassis that you bought for only 5k and swap the motor
But right, I'm underage. I'll ban myself.
>>17790891
>But also, rebuilt doesn't always mean bad.
dude what? and what will happen when you decide to sell the car? after putting all that money spent on it? it'll still be worth $5k maybe even less than that all because you bought a car with a rebuilt title.
>>17790870
People go through a lot of trouble to get the rebuilt title. The guy could have done minimal work to get it running and left it salvage. A rebuilt title is somewhere in between salvage and clean, the previous owner is the deciding factor really
>>17791781
its still an automatic E36 M3 convertible.
Don't listen to the anon about the rebuilt title. Buddy just bought a rebuilt Nissan 370z for $10k and the only reason it was rebuilt was because it was vandalized and considered totaled by the insurance company. No structural damage whatsoever. Rebuilts are a hit or miss but a good way to check would to be bring it too a dealer-based mechanic for them to check it out.
However, that M3 is an automatic. That gearbox not only sucks but is really unreliable. Dont get it.

Buying a car with a rebuilt title is for poor people who make bad decisions

No, it's for people who actually are skilled at fixing things and don't rely on daddy's money for everything.

You can purchase a car with a CLEAN title for very little if you know what you are doing.
Stop projecting your poverty on to me.
>>17790784
This has got to be bait. No one can seriously be this stupid.
