I just sold my cherokee and I'm looking for something to fill the hole in my heart plus I want to go offroading bad. Also I'm in college so I can't justify dropping 5k on some boomer's wet dream atm.

It's a Beetle with parts chopped off. Everything will be shitty and broken like any old Beetle. But there's very little to go wrong and you can always replace it. Only thing that costs any money to fix is the engine.

By the way, I don't know what kind of offroading you're used to but it's nothing like a Cherokee. You can't crawl in it.

There are some ridiculous engine swaps in Saudi Arabia/UAE they use for killing dunes. Saw a 2JZ swapped one the other day on youtube.
