Anyone ever water decarbonized an engine? Does it work?
I'm in Bolivia with a motorcycle and the gas here is beyond terrible: 80 octane if you're lucky, 70 if you're not. Impossible to go up hills without constant pinging (p.s. Bolivia has lots of hills).
Seafoam and Techron don't seem to exist, So I figure my only option for decarbonizing (which should lower compression and cut down on hot spots a bit) is by spraying water into the intake (according to the inter webs), but putting water into an engine seems pretty wrong.
I haven't done it but know it works. Plenty of YouTube videos on how to do it. If the water vaporizes before compression it's completely safe in the engine.

It seems wrong but if you use very little, it'll turn to steam and go through like air and not lock your engine. I've never done it myself but hear it's effective.

you can use an octane booster like toluene or heptane

use methanol if you can get it
