What does /o/ think about the newest Sonatas? (2016-2017)
Is it worth buying as a reliable family car, after the 1yr hyundai price drop?

They're comfy as fuck with more features standard than the Camry for less money than the Camry.
Unless you want 6 cylinders.
They're super quiet and comfy as fuck and huge inside. The stock Kumho tires are shit though and your tire noise will go down significantly after swapping.
Don't buy a used SE because most of those you find for like 11k-13k are ex rental vehicles and have been beat to shit and aren't sold as certified with the remainder of the warranty. Spend the extra grand or so and get a used Sport since those were never sold to rental fleets and you can find them as certified preowned.
I love mine. It's slow as fuck but I don't care whats going on around me since it's so quiet and comfy and huge inside. Also, get the 7 inch screen rather than the shitty like 4-inch monochromatic one. It's worth it since you get android auto and apple carplay. The base sound system is pretty damn good so dont think you need to get a limited trim for the fancy one.
it looked better before the facelift but america can blame hyundai for the turbo midsize meme. toyota, nissan, and chrysler are the only automakers left that offer v6 midsize cars
