You can technically use whatever you want for polish (I have a gallon of autosol, so I just use that for fucking everything) but you MUST put a sealant on it, like rattlecan clear.

Aren't 3m kits under $15? Why spent time doing it the wrong way if the right way is so cheap and takes the same time? The only thing the 3m kit doesn't include is clear coat which only matters if you don't want to repolish and reseal it every year or two
