Is it me or do Volkswagens smell weird?
My friend used to have a 2001 Passat, and she replaced it with a 2016 Tiguan. The Passat definitely had a weird chemical smell, and it seems to me like the Tiguan is getting a similar one.

old air cooled and some of the 1st gen water cooled VWs all had the same smell, it was a combo of horse hair (stuffing in the seats), burnt oil and gasoline. I wish they still did.
The new ones with cloth seats have a smell to them that I don't find leather has.
My dad has a '68 bug and it smells like nothing else. Mixture of gas and weed.

Damn that sucks, my LS400 has aged to the point where all you smell upon getting in is rich leather and some kind of aromatic flower smell I can't deduce. Just like wine, high quality leather smells better over time. It's fucking great
I thought that the crayon smell was just my jetta. But is there a way to get rid of it at all?
