why the hell do i need a new radiator if only the right arrow has a chip? (not the URH itself its the plastic part from the radiator the hose connect to)
am i being scammed out of 1000 wth /o/
Does it leak with the hose on? if so, that entire end tank is one piece so yes, you need an entire radiator.

>you need an entire radiator.
Fuck that. Use a two part epoxy. $5 at Home Depot.
>>17718442
No and I checked the hose and they're fine
just a crack in that ribbed for pleasure plastic part
>>17718472
Why did you take the hose off?
>>17718471
that's what I'm thinking the other piece is still left in the hose
>>17718479
>burping or bleeding or whatever the bubbles out
>squeeze radiator hose
>falls off ribbed for pleasure part
>find the chipped piece inside
does anybody know what i would call that part at least?
>>17718562
upper radiator hose barb
>>17718425
>$1000 for a radiator
>>17718609
Maybe that also includes all the shop time and fluids.
>>17718627
>she doesn't change her own radiator
Literally the easiest thing in the world. Pull a few hoses off, couple bolts and she's free
>>17718627
>implying a radiator change isn't a piece of piss
oh, anon, you have A/C don't you
it'll literally cost like $100 if you just get a new rad, do it yourself, and live without A/C
>>17718652
>>17718662
Uhhh don't forget you have to drain ALL the coolant AND fill it back up
>>17718669
>implying that's difficult or expensive
Any epoxy will work, one advertised as a plastic welder would be my first choice.
My most recent Volvo de turbo project had the inlet going to the overflow completely broken off. I found both pieces in the trunk.
It works just fine now.
Or buy a new one like a little bitch.

>$1000 for a radiator
It's because in a lot of cars, like mine, that "radiator" includes more than your grandpa's radiator like sensors. The assembly also has to be of the correct size as it fits into a certain space along with the air conditioning "radiator". There's also something for the transaxle cooling so I am guessing transmission flud is cooled too.
>>17721127
>air conditioning radiator
That's a condenser anon. And yes auto trans fluid is often cooled through a separate passage within the radiator.

wut
>>17718669
>don't forget you have to drain ALL the coolant
You have to take the lower radiator hose off to do the job, so forgetting to drain the coolant is not a problem.
>>17723573
It is when you get muddy coolant all over your face and eyes
>>17723594
Don't stick your face under it, to avoid this i proceed this way
>locate the clip thing
>place the pliers on it
>remove clip
>remove face
>tug on the hose
>>17723708
>remove face
they should teach this in high school
