How fucked am I? Car is a '96 Probe GT, works fine so far but this doesn't look good
Also another pic, what is the best way to clean that up?

Urine not even joking piss on a rag and use it to wipe it off

Use a wire brush (or something similar) to get the worst off. Use water to wash away anything that's loose.
I'd honestly recommend you replace the battery. Doesn't look like it has much life left in it.
If you're paranoid about acid, use baking soda to neutralize it. Might even help a bit with the cleaning, too.

Thanks man, I'll do that (wire brush + baking soda). Also this battery is from 2005, and not a single problem until then
>>17716926
I'll try that if solution above doesn't work
Thanks guys
Negative looks fine on the other hand
Just buy a new battery and try not to fuck it up this time. Batteries ate literally the simplest components of the entire vehicle.

This is a VERY long life for a car battery. Regardless of corrosion on the terminals, you should replace it, or the car might randomly refuse to start once it gets a little colder outside.
Also: Make sure to wear rubber gloves when cleaning the terminals.

the fuck are you talking about, just get a new battery and clean the connectors a bit.

>get a new battery
If it works just clean it up. I just pour some boiling water over them then put a few drops of oil on the terminals. I use mineral chainsaw chain oil.
'93 Probe SE guy here. Just clean the terminals and replace battery. Also, show pics of you PGT. Always love another mans Probe.

Recent pic of mine. Surprisingly, there's an SE in the street next to mine. Other than that, you don't see lot of them around.

Did clean it up for now, I'll wait and see if I need a new one then

Also also, some pics when I encounter another one
