Any chance to damage my engine with one of these? Pretty curious on what it could do for/to my Jeep Wrangler.

its a throttle body extender right???
i heard those things make negligible difference with power
Don't do it, it makes mustard gas
>Chrysler product
It doesn't matter, OP. It's already ruined.

Yeah, I heard minimal gains of like 2-5HP but it would still be gainz.
I really want to get more hands on experience with working on cars, so I'm always curious about stuff like this. Also I wouldn't mind an ever so slight increase in performance.

No spacers, don't add or alter to many things in the engine, just make the air smoother as it's pulled into the manifold. You may "feel" a little more power, but they're not very effective.

Seeing as you got a 4x4 from 2004 I'm going to assume its probably got some rust on it. I'd spend less money on aftermarket stuff for now and focus more on replacing major components that are on their way out. I'm guessing your transmission system is far past its prime given what type of vehicle it is.

These are essentially snake oil in metal form. It's mostly a trap for boomers, since it's easy to compare to a carb spacer. Don't bother

It doesn't do jack. Your money is better spent elsewhere.
Also, don't be one of those guys that gets a K&N "Cold air intake;" the factory one has been proven to produce the same power and filter the air better.

What is that actually supposed to do? Better A/F mix or something?

You gotta be careful with those EBay CAI's. I have seen lots of people put them on their cars and they run worse. Cars are designed by engineers who get paid a lot to make sure those components work well together. If you are really going to do a CAI and/or exhaust, it's worth spending the extra money on shit like AFE and Borla that was actually designed for the car and engine. And even then, you won't see much of a change unless you get a tune that works with the extra air coming and going to/from the engine.
