How do I get into servicing my car myself?
I've done a few things to my car, like topping up the oil, changing spark plugs and coil packs. But I want to do more, like coolant and oil flushes and replacing my fuel filter. (have a feeling it's never been done of my car)
By doing it basically,
Get a workshop manual in or one of those Haynes ones which indicate how hard a job is.
Start small, get stuck in.
5 months ago I struggled changing a bulb and did my first oil change, just finished rebuilding the entire front suspension and did a head gasket change.
Godspeed.

what kinda car is this???

It's a Roush Ford Mustang.

>Roush Ford Mustang.
I google imaged that and it doesn't look even close...

It's a very rare stage 5 model from the 90's. Such a timeless design.
Buy a steaming pile of crap and daily it.

It's a shit-gen Ford Taurus shopped onto a shit-gen MR2.
Seriously, the worst aesthetic era for both cars. Would have been cool to have a midship SHO coupe though.

Start at the top and work your way down
>>17700783
first buy some essential tools
small, medium, large screwdrivers
spanner set 4 to 20mm (ideally up to 30mm)
>socket set + ratchet
(ideally ~4-14mm in 1/4" drive, ~10-24 in 1/2" drive, both sizes in short and deep socket, two sizes of ratchets, a few extensions)
small and large needle nose pliers
sliding pliers
multigrip pliers
circlip pliers
side cutters
hex key set
torx key set (if you think you will need them)
prying bar
1/2" torque wrench
1/4" torque wrench (not quite as necessary)
i would highly recommend also getting:
good work bench, quality engineering surface/block
bench mounted vice
micrometer, vernier calipers, feeler gauges and learning how to use them
IR thermometer
pic related, they really save a lot of pain
then just get a workshop manual for your car and read it. most of work you do on a car is straightforward or might need a few precise measurements but they aren't terribly complicated. some things do need more 'special' tools like testing compression or pressure in fuel lines etc.
Fuck me, I like how it looks

Get your waifu to service me. Then I will teach you the ways of car service. Was on each off.

That's pretty cool, but more of a one off.
Plus the longer wheelbase and comfy interior of the Taurus would be welcome.

those things were rediculous to wail on XD
Do you have the service history of the vehicle OP?
