Lived in my car over a winter. If you had to you could you have to tarp up your car though. Tied to my wheels with bungees. Slept in 20 degree weather much more comfortably than without a cover I think it's the windows. It was very easy to pick up afterward too, my little Matrix. Damn I miss it
