It hurts knowing that small diesel trucks like pic related will never come back to the states.

I hope someone comes out with small bare bones pickup and sells it at a price similar to base model economy cars.
That'll never happen though.

I wish I could get a mint condition box style older truck.
Atleast you can import them

And why would you want small diesel engine? I ask that as owner of small truck with diesel engine.
>>17689351
The better MPG and torque than a similar gasoline engine, good for small utility vehicles.

???
We have Caddys
>>17689361
Modern Caddys aren't pickups and they aren't sold in the states.

>modern
Who cares?
>>17689380
Maybe someone who wants a small truck without issues and isn't covered in rust?
>>17689384
So learn to deal with old car problems, move to the southwest so you aren't cucked by rust

Some people don't have time to be constantly fixing mechanical problems and need to get work done.
You might understand that if you weren't busy fucking dogs 24/7

Not worth it.
Have diesel hilux and would rather have gas one.
You get better mpg, like 20% or so and some torques down at idle.
Everything else is horrible. Noise, vibrations, maintenance, extremely narrow power band. It kinda makes sense in Europe where fuel is expensive but in us, no fucking way.

I have diesel mazda3 2.2 MZR-CD
Great for towing my boat and trailer but modern gas engines are very good on mpg now anyway
