The only reason they were ever conceived to begin with was to get around regulations on engine displacement, disingenuously suggesting that each rotor is equivalent to a cylinder (even though there are 3 combustion pockets on each rotor). To completely sidestep the ongoing shitstorm I always wondered there. How well would a mid engined car, with a rotary engine mounted longitudinally, handle? I know MR cars tend to *snappu*, but one reason cited is because most, if not all, MR cars are transverse mounted, which makes the center rather lopsided. I chose the rotary engine because it's packaging could effectively allow for a longitudinal mount while being fairly easy to access.

Rotary: yea I'm superior at being trash, can't hold seals, need all this excessive maintenance but at least I won a Lemans like 20 years ago, please disregard that a piston engine has won every other Lemans. Oh yeah and I need oil changes twice as frequently as other cars plus all the oil I burn every month
