Why haven't you gotten your Korean GTI yet??
I'll just leave this here

I had been looking to replace my SVT Focus with one, but I fixed my emissions problems so not doing it anymore.
>>17674898
But I have one and regret it every day my man
>>17674973
Why??
Not the Korean gti, doesn't even hold a candle to Honda fit ffs
Gti
Focus st
Mazda3
Light years away
>>17674977
The thing is a mechanical nightmare and the DCT is the worst transmission I've had the misfortune of using.
>>17675014
Shoulda got a '14 or '15
>>17674898
That's slow as fuck.
Because I've accepted the Japanese GTI as my God.
>>17674898
I'm waiting for Hyundai I30 N
>>17675014
>>17675015
Shoulda got a 16
>>17675132
16 autos have DCT do they not?
>>17675253
Alls I know is my 16 base had the DCT and it went to 40k miles without issue.
>>17674898
'Cause I have a real GTI and these gook boxes are called Veslowsters for a reason.
Now if the Veslowster comes to the US in an N variant, there may be cause to give it a second look.
>>17675411
>Veslowster
Forced meme is forced. Nobody calls them that.
>>17675425
>D-don't call my car t-that!
It'll be alright. Maybe when the N comes out you can make another poor purchase decision by trading up?
Whatever helps you sleep at night.
>>17675438
You can call it whatever you want, since clearly that helps you sleep at night.
And while your precious GTI is in the shop for another electrical repair just keep in mind that Korea-san is more reliable.
>>17675452
>I-I know y-you are b-but what am I?
Buttblasted already? Yeesh...
>I'll just use the VW reliability meme!
I love how people who have never owned a GTI love to talk about their reliability. I've had zero issues with mine, and have had it since 13. Funny how cars tend to break down less when you perform regular maintenance, or the fact that every major manufacturer has issues, recalls, and lemons on their record.
>In-denial Veslowster owner is BTFO: kimchi edition
The Veloster Turbo is a slow piece of shit, it's bested by a fucking 1994 Integra GS-R in a straight line and in corners and absolutely demolished by any modern hot hatch. The suspension is shit, the chassis is shit, the drivetrain is shit, and the only people who think otherwise are people who have never driven an actual sporty car.
>>17675487
>I've had zero issues with mine
fake and gay
>>17675487
>or the fact that every major manufacturer has issues,
assblasted
>>17675502
>The Veloster Turbo is a slow piece of shit
It's faster than the official car of /o/.
And that's the Euro VT which has 20hp less than the North American VT.
Calling it slow is a meme. Talking shit about it when you've never driven it is also a meme, though a prevalent one on this board.

>>17674898
Veslowster started too early and who cares, both of these cars are slower than a GTI 0-60.
>>17675679
GTI can't make it to 60 without the wiring harness frying itself though.
>>17675629
If its anything like the genesis coupe, its a great car on paper that feels like utter shit to drive in reality.
I did.
2013 Turbo 6 speed
Best car I've owned so far.

>You will immediately cease and not continue to access the site if you are under the age of 18.
Go to bed, Timmy. It's a school night.
>>17675730
>""""""""the wiring harness"""""""""
We already knew you have no idea what you're talking about, but this is proof.
>>17675638
Wow. Its a sad day when a Veslowster can barely walk an 86.
>>17675795
>claims to own a GTI
>spends entire Sunday evening in a thread about the Veloster
>>17675823
Thanks for the (You), friendo. Don't forget your bus pass for school tomorrow!
>>17675843
GTI owners, everyone.
>>17675629
Quarter mile in mid 15s and 0-60 in under 8 seconds, IF you're really lucky. Those are facts, it being slow is a fact.
>>17675882
Eh. Yes, economy cars are slower than more expensive cars.
>WHO KNEW?
Nonetheless, that's Civic Si territory. For less money.
>>17674898
*screeeech*
And, off the line
>>17675882
Yeah if you get the auto/dct. The 2013 6 speed has a 0-60 of 6.8 and I've seen people get under 6 with very little money invested. Hell I've clocked my 2013 at 6.4 personally.
>>17675952
It's 2017 dude, if it takes more than 5 seconds then it's slow. My 2007 ms3 got to 60 in five and change when it was stock, and it's a ten year old car.
>>17676090
>if it takes more than 5 seconds, it's slow
Oh so you're one of THOSE people.
opinion discarded.
>>17676090
>My 2007 ms3 got to 60 in five and change when it was stock
Google says 6.1 seconds you hack.
>>17676114
Discarding the truth because it doesn't fit
Your imaginary narrative isn't a healthy way to live my friend but hey ignorance is bliss I guess
>>17675730
The GTI is probably more reliable than the Veslowster, it's not like Hyundai has Toyota-tier reliability.
>>17676141
>this is what delusional morons actually believe.
If you're basing a cars speed based solely on one stat, ignoring track times then honestly you've got no one to blame but yourself for being that ignorant. Anything under 7 seconds is perfectly fast. I wouldn't call anything slow unless it had 10+ second 0-60, and so would the majority of the world.
>>17676147
Hyundai is more reliable than VW. You'd be correct if we're talking pre-2010 Hyundai, but ever since they've redone their business model on cars they've been extremely reliable.
>>17676147
>GTI is probably more reliable
>probably
>>17675776
Holy hell learn to drive without rashing your wheels.
>>17676414
Prior owner. Not me. Replacing them soon.
>tfw have one (2016)
>tfw its the DCT
>>17678436
I'm sorry for your loss.
>>17678499
It okay, I've accepted it for what it is and I still love it.
