This is the inside of my Toyota pickup clutch. What causes this and how do I fix it? I wouldent have noticed if I hadn't pulled back the carpet, the clutch feels fine.

Bad piston seal
Clutch master needs replaced.
It's a 15 dollar part, and a quick bleed of the system away... Quick job.
Your hard line flare fitting is most likely gonna be seized up, be careful because it's easy as fuck to round off the little 10mm nut. Use vicegrips and PB blaster to break it loose.

There are two master cylinders in the pedal box. clutch master and brake master. Differentiate them.
