Yeah v8s are too big and don't make much more power and can't fit behind axles. Electric won't take over unless they put thorium reactors on or have a revolution in battery technology because lithium cells aren't cutting it.

People that don't understand cars just see the word eco and see a smaller engine and think less gas even though you could do the exact same thing with a v8 and get the same if not better economy
And no electric won't take over soon it'll probably take another 20 years for battery technology to catch up and be affordable
