Why is BMW leather so coarse and shitty feeling? It has the same

there are strict leather processing standards that they have to adhere to in Germany. Mercedes owns the rights to thinner, softer leather upholstery and therefore forces BMW to use a coarser standard.

Who knows but it was the worst interior when i was cross shopping.
Audi a4 sport seats were awesome.
Jag were soft taurus leather or something, really liked those.
Would have had to step up to the 6 series for decent seats in bmws but its a 4 seater for some reason

A 3-series shares the same seats with the 1-series so that's probably why. Also audi goes all out with cladding in their leather seats.

Mine feels bretty gud but it's a 5 series maybe that has something to do with it.

My 7 series has very high quality Nappa leather but my friends 2006 3 series has the cheapest leather option which really does feel cheapish.

Because it's a shitty BMW.
