>/o/ likes the miata because it's slow, but fun
>/o/ hates the GT86 because it's slow, but fun
Fucking explain this shit
>>17637468
1. /o/ is not a hivemind
2. The people who blindly shit on the GT86 are bench racers who would likely not be able to afford one within the next 5 years
3. Both cars are a lotta fun
One costs $3000, the other costs $25,000
>>17637497
well one is almost 30 years old, the other one isn't
>>17637497
this. for over $20k, you can get something fast AND fun. to each his own though
>>17637497
One is 28 years old the other is 5
Case in point
>>17637497
but explain why people like the ND Miata, which is in the same price range as the GT86
>>17637497
If were talking used, ive seen them as low as 13k... so for 10k more you get a much newer car that looks less "girly" imo
>/o/ is one person
>>17637519
I personally hate the nd miata's looks... its ugly af if u ask me...
>>17637519
Well it's the lightest RWD car on the market right now, people who prioritize weight and drivetrain will naturally gravitate towards that. The GT86 is light too but it's not the lightest RWD car for sale new.
Also many people prefer an I4 over H4. ND also gets better gas mileage, a convertible top (yes some people like convertibles). It's also marginally faster than the GT86 on track. Idk man people like different things. /o/ isnt one person, many prefer the GT86 for other reasons.
>>17637468
they can buy an old miata for a couple grand
they can't afford a new 25k car
>>17637497
early GT86s are cheaper than some NCs now
>>17637468
The Miata is cheaper, and more fun to drive. It's also a convertible, which makes it even more enjoyable. It's literally peak Mazda.
THe GT86 is reasonably heavy for a 2 door RWD coupe with a 4 cylinder. It's a mediocre Subaru/Toyota hybrid that shines in neither brands' lineup.
>>17637519
ND is lighter, nimbler, faster on track and has less roof.
>>17637468
>gt86
>fun
Lolnotorque

>THe GT86 is reasonably heavy for a 2 door RWD coupe with a 4 cylinder
What lighter coupes can you buy new? (ND RF excluded, which isn't really a coupe anyway)
>>17637649
Seconded, if the 86 was offered with a toyata I4 id buy that in a heart beat.
>>17637789
Coupes are gay
>>17637813
I'll take a 4 seater coupe and rip the back seats out
