I want a used BMW. Am I a retard? I found a 2006 325i on an online repo auction for only 3.5k but it has a lot of miles on it like 140k. Would manintenance really be that bad? It's extremely clean inside and out and has no warning codes. Honestly I didn't want to get it until I sat inside it's fully loaded with a leather and walnut interior and is comfy as fuark. Plus it's got some sick 17 inch factory wheels.

Sometimes the interior is clean and everything but the engine hasn't been maintained well. Inline 6's are great though and BMW is the king of I6 so if a mechanic says it's clean then buy it

No, the engine isn't shit. But there's a plethora of shit that can go wrong with a 10 yr old + BMW that will be costly to fix. Being a repo, chances are the previous owner did nothing for maintenance either. If your budget is around 3.5k, I would look elsewhere.

Get it checked out, and go for it if the mechanic says it's good. I have a similar model, and the i6 engines are bulletproof, even if you push them hard.
