Why does no one give a shit about the Hellcat? It literally makes 700 horsepower and is available for $50k or less in some instances. Instead people are spending almost the same amount of money for meme wannabe M2s like the m235i or retarded shit like Golf Rs/Type Rs/WRX STIs
What gives?

You know there are probably entire communities dedicated to dodge vehicles. Just because /o/ doesn't talk about it doesn't mean there aren't people who are
>>17611216
maybe because only braindead rednecks and benchracers give fucks about 0-60 times and horsepower?
Maybe because you can build a faster for the hold-wheel-straight, keep-throttle-down """"""races""""" way cheaper than 50k?

Well it never costs the same as MSRP because of fucking dealer markups. Also it's based on an already outdated platform with relatively low gas mileage (even among ponycars), from a corporation (FCA) that is notorious for making relatively unreliable cars. I don't even know if that sentiment about FCA is true but it's there and it keeps people from buying their vehicles.
I like the Hellcat a lot (esp. with the new Demon widebody) but it's got too many issues as a sportscar or as a regular usable car.
literally what are you going to do on the street with 707 hp except collect speeding tickets? It's not like that piece of shit can turn.
Because they've come out with the Demon to replace it? And I won't touch any Mopar product with a 10' pole, they're slapped together junk. Fast moving junk, but still junk.

Actually it makes closer to 750 hp in dyno tests. O doesn't care for it much because it's a halo car well never afford. O likes Japanese cars that are great in the bends.
There's such thing as balance between chassis and power. The Hellcat's balance is the worst of all performance cars. It's basically a burnout machine and nothing else.
On top of it the engine ecu is locked and proprietary. Tuning it is very expensive. I also hate it for being one of the factors of killing the Viper.
>>17611216
because the model s is faster.

This is my problem with getting any car over 300HP. If you can get into legal speed trouble in first gear what's the fucking point.
>why does no one cares about a lol can't turn barge
jeez idk OP
>>17611216
The m2 costs 52k msrp, no one is spending 50k on an m235
>>17611599
as someone who things drag racing is not racing but car testing
It's because it's fun. Power is like a cheap, skilless version of cornering at the limit
>>17611216
it's ugly, for one thing
