Spent early part of my 20s not sure what to do ended up going from shitty job to shitty job

I did become successful at 25, finally started my career, still had some ups and downs than at 26.5 is when I made it in corporate America.

Spent my early 20s broke and looking for a reason to keep going, ended up becoming highly successful in my field and still get calls from multiple states about job offers and one offer in Sweden for google...

I think it never helped me achieve anything, your parents provide you a car it is a luxury item people shouldn't do that for their kids since you are spoiling them and might be setting them up for failure or they will learn about failure later in life. I understand now since I'm older that struggling in my early 20s was a good experience and one I hope I never forget

If you are young struggling is normal, frankly the things to try to make it some here wouldn't believe, I'm not even sure why I visit 4chan since i'm not some neet

I used to envy kids who got BMWs and were driving them around in college but not now. Because I've seen what happened to a lot of them and that BMW was the high point of their life - it was all downhill after that.

If I had to get my kid something, it would be mechanically sound but underpowered and dorky, so that when he got out into the real world, he could upgrade it to something, he could look forward to something better instead of realizing that it was all downhill from there.

How do you know objectively that having a nice car in college was the highlight of their life? Have you interviewed them 5,10,15, or even 20 years after college? Having a nice car is fun and all, but most people won't see a nice car as being the best part of their life. I've had nice cars at a young age and I never noticed anyone treat me better because of it, if anything people resent you more so. Having a shitbox is much better in some situations.
