Why aren't car bodies made of aluminum or stainless steel?
No costly paint that can get damaged.
Timeless look.
Lasts for decades.
Those two materials and fiberglass are exactly what car bodies are made of.
Both are more expensive than steel. Stainless will scratch easy, aluminum damages easy.

> BETTER BLAME THE MANUFACTURER
Both of those materials are incredibly difficult to repair once bent. Stainless will ALWAYS have a crease where it was damaged, look up DeLorean body repair or wait around for that tripfag Dracula, he's got a DMC-12 he had to restore.
Aluminum is easier to fix but still doesn't quite return to shape without further damage.

Just composite my shit up senpai

This.

$$$$$$$$$$$
>>17578975
Yup, that's the dumbest thing I've seen but I'm sure the GM cucks love it.

Thats still a poor engineering standard. The trucks are advertised to pull 2-3 tonnes easy yet the body isnt strong enough to take the stresses from those loads. I would sue in a heartbeat then use the money on a properly built truck. Pathetic.
>>17579209
you are stupid, the same damage could occur in a steel bed
aluminum is good for certain bits of body work and engine components, poor for anything structural. Also keeping polished aluminum clean is a bitch, there is a reason major airforces moved away from polished aluminum liveries

Steel trucks haven't had these issues with 100 years on the road.
>>17579760
We can argue about steel meme but at the end of day ecobeast is too much for GM to handle
>>17579209
read the post again, they weren't pulling anything, they put a heavy load in the bed and let it slide around.
>>17580852
Doesn't say heavy at all. Could have been hauling pillows.
>>17580860
only if they were huge pillows for YER MUM lmao rekt
