m45s are cool.
g35s are meh and potentially unreliable.

looking at g35. Found a couple nearby for the sub 9k range. Only thing is I would prefer a manual and those aren't easy to come by

The G35 is the Jack of all trades, master of none. It's a good car in just most ways, but there's nothing that it does exceptionally well (besides the AC, that shit works phenomenally). I would definitely recommend it as a daily driver, but don't expect it to be a sporty car.
Steer away from the '05 and '06 G35's unless you find one that has had the valve cover fixed/replaced. A design flaw makes them inevitably leak oil at the valve cover gasket.
G35s are really common buys. They are essentially the "luxury" version of the Nissan 350Z
Watch out, They tend to burn oil

Are g35s bad? I was taking a look and trying to decide between it and a genesis.

Are Lexus' any better to your knowledge? I was going to go the BMW 3 series route but taking it to a mechanic is giving me second thoughts

G37 is better than both. Save your money and get one of those.

Do whatever it takes to get a G37. Ideally coupe, sport, 6mt.
