We already have oil pressure warning lights for this. If you have no oil pressure and continue to drive, you're likely a woman. Also, a generator is expected to sit for long periods between use. If you check fluids every time you fill up there is no chance it will all disappear in the interum unless you have a catastrophic gasket failure or drive a Honda.

Kinda related question, at what point do oil pressure sensor lights usually come on? I'm guessing they don't come on 10 seconds before the engine eats shit
