it happens, I remember going in to a new car dealer to look at a 2010 Accord they had on the lot once
got in, took it for a drive, everything was pristine
told them I needed a bit more time to evaluate my options
came back 2 days later to take it for one final shakedown drive before pulling the trigger and started noticing tiny little chips everywhere, in the windshield, on the hood, even a few on the trunk somehow
almost looked like it had been driven through a sandstorm or something
asked about it and the sales guy said he never noticed it before, I guess the paint hid it pretty well
I dropped it since I couldn't get them to replace the windshield and one of them looked like it was spreading in to a crack
