OP why not just replace the valve cover gasket yourself? Those things are super cheap and you don't need many tools.

A/C is a bit tougher because you have to find the leak to fix it permanently, but should be possible for $150 or so as well.

$300. It sucked but I didn't want to fix it again. Honestly I would've kept it if I made just a little more money, but as a college student living on my own, it was a no. Fortunately i bought it for $2800 and went for two years from 100k miles to 135k. And those two years weren't bad, it never broke down, the only thing was that every year something would need a fixing that would be around $1000

You have to pull the whole front off of the motherfucker to get to things that you have to take off to get to what you're after, only to realize that you still can't get to what you need.

I have the official Audi instructions in front of me and you don't have to put the car in service position for the valve covers.

Also, if you work on Audis without any instructions and then complain that you can't get to what you need you're just a dumbass. On the only Audi I've ever had (80 cabriolet, super reliable car btw) the A/C was just fine.
OP, if you want them, I can upload the official instructions in the language of your choosing. The valve covers don't seem to be very difficult to remove, but it certainly helps to have an idea what you have to remove in what order. Just post here if you want them.
