Good car for a new driver in Europe?
Hi, I'm 18(I have a driving license since one month now) and I live in Poland.
I'm asking you what car would be good for a beginner that's cheap, well made and most importantly wouldn't make me sell organs for insurance.
I have a problem because I don't want a small car. My reason for this is downright stupid and I know it but I think a small car looks really shit.
Right now I have 2 cars to my disposal. A Nissan Micra(I feel so shit when I drive it it hurts) and a VW Golf MKII GT.
Now I'd prefer the second one but my dad says it's slightly too powerful/too hard for me to drive. I drove it a few times and that's true(I still have slight problems with gear changing and the clutch).
What do you think? My main problem is insurance.
Thanks. Any Polish bros here?

Fiat Panda will suit you great. Youre not supposed to like the visual of your first car as you learn to drive. You need a car that is cheap to use and wont hurt to damage. Second car can be what you like.

I guess that's true. But my problem is always looks. I can't stand driving around in an ugly car and feel people looking at me and laughing.
I'm looking for something that looks good and is small, essentially.
What do you guys think of VW Golf mk2 one in 10 million?
Can anyone tell me something about it?
