Hey /o/, what's a good way to gauge a fair price for a high mileage car with mods?
I'm in the market for an older wrx to use as a winter car and somewhat daily. I've seen some with 180k - 220k miles going for around $5500-$$7000. They all have some sort of mods done. I'm not sure what would be the correct price since kelly blue book puts the cars at $3k stock.
Basically I just need a fun winter beater, and I don't mind driving ricers, but $6000 for a car with 200k miles seems kinda insane.

What generation, ie bug eye. Price veries a lot year to year with wrxs

that poor subaru got the honda treatment :(

Bugeye generation 2002-2003.
There is a nice 04 sti, but it has 144k miles and the guy wants $12k. Kinda stretching my budget for a beater.

>buying a modded car
>buying a memebaru
Shiggy diggy

>fun awd beater where someone else adds extra power for you
What's the issue?

Their shitty mods that may or may not have been set up properly making it an unreliable piece of shit.

So all mods are 100% shitty all the time?
Anyways, instead, I just need someone to answer the question tbqh.

In my area wrxs in 02 go for about 4k maybe 5 for a nice one. They last for a while if unmodded so milage isnt a huge deal

In terms of valuation... yeah pretty much

With how many miles though?

Mods do nothing to affect resale value. Nothing. Except for a few examples any kind of modification by a PO diminishes resale value and you should use the questionable reliablitlity and installation ( and maybe lack of original parts) to negotiate a lower price.

Correction: I meant that they do nothing to increase its value

Understood, maybe I'll offer $5000 for it.
Has a new clutch which is nice and worth about $600 in my opinion.
