How do you talk someone into selling you a car that they have no intention of selling?
My uncle has this VR4 that does nothing but sit in his shitty garage. He drives it maybe three times a year.
This is as close as he's ever let me be to it.

Wait until they are in need and wave cash in their face.
he probably blew the transmission up when he drove it the third time and is too embarrassed to tell you.

He claims it has "400hp".

You can't. I used to drive around knocking on doors when I'd spot a car that was rotting in someone's driveway. Always got "But I'm fixing it up this summer; it's not for sale."
And then five years later they scrap it.

You don't.

I watched that exact thing happen to this all original '87 300zx Turbo. An older guy had it, and he said he would never sell it. So I just told him to keep my number in case he ever decides.
I used to pass by it twice a day for almost 3 years, I could see that the paint had deteriorated because it just sat and baked in the sun.
Then it disappeared
Now a year later and I see it up for sale with a fresh coat of paint.
Called the number, and it wasn't the old man.
That old cocksucker sold it to someone else, and he was asking 10k for the fucking thing.
I was genuinely upset for like a week.
