I live in the US and I've been daily driving an XJ-S for three weeks now. AMA.
Plot twist it has an 80s chevy truck motor in it

Did you get it from a guy named Martinez? There's a lot near me that had exactly what you described a few weeks ago.

You probably wouldn't be daily driving it otherwise.

You're not the first to have done that, OP

You did, didn't you. You bought Martinez's chevy/jag hybrid. How does it drive?
Have you already booked an appointment at the mechanics in week 5?
absolutely disgusting

lumps are godly
I had an '86 XJ6 with a 350 boat anchor dropped in and a 3 speed transmission for a while. it was fun as fuck to drive and the suspension was great but the electronics still sucked. couldn't get gauges or windows to work and the wipers would turn on randomly.

get out of here stallman

Nah, bought it from an old white dude off Craigslist with some 17" chrome atrocities in place of the stock wheels. It drives fairly nice. It's amazing what Jaguar was able to do with suspension 40+ years ago.

I'm aware.

Very true point.

This is exactly what's on this one. TH350 with some godawful hard shift kit, 350 with a .030 maintenance overbore, mild cam (RV, probably), and an Edelbrock 1406 carb. It's fairly slow, probably low 7 second to 60, but it makes all the right noises and the lights, instruments, radio, windows, etc. all work except for the godfucked A/C that these things have.
Enjoi bonus pic of engine bay with the universes worst air cleaner. Unfortunately I have yet to find something lower-profile to fit under the Jag's hood.
