Guess madness never ends.
Good.
Porsche was fucking retarded to get itself into the SUV market.

Pretty sure the revenue from suvs saved Porsche from bankruptcy.
Sometimes you gotta sacrifice a race car to keep the factory doors open.

If I recall correctly, the Boxster was the car that was instrumental in keeping Porsche alive and the Cayenne didn't come along until a bit later, but yeah it did rake in a metric fuckload of money by successfully cashing in on that premium SUV fad.

Why was it retarded? They gain millions of shekels from the Cayenne and Panamera to spend on making god tier sportscars and supercars.
MARCHIONNE YOU FUCKER FIRST LANCIA AND NOW THIS?

And then they kept on reiterating on the same bug.

every 5-10 years or so Porsche builds a cheaper, more mainstream car because the 911 just can't keep the company afloat by itself.
in 2000 it was the Boxster
in 2005 it was the Cayenne
in 2010 it was the Panamera
in 2015 the Cayman got it's spotlight.
This is not a new practice, as the 912 saved the original 911 back in 1965.

Ferrari and other exotic manufacturers should steer clear from producing SUVs, pick-up trucks, or anything other than exotics. Porsche on the other hand can do whatever they want because they are not exactly an exotic brand, even though they do produce some of the best cars.
Well, if Lamborghini can make tractors...
And Porsche too

One day you will be able to pilot a 911 to Alpha Centauri.
