Best friend died and left me his truck, his wife wanted to sell it but he gave it to me in his will and she can't afford a lawyer to fight it.
Ive DD'd motorcycles for the last 17 years and don't really have a need for a cage and honestly don't know what's good or bad these days.
Anyways, the truck is 2007 F-350 Lariat.
Turbo diesel or some-such.
Is this a decent vehicle?
I'm just trying to get a heads up on whether it's going to be something I will be fixing a lot or if it should run somewhat problem free.
I pick the vehicle up tomorrow afternoon.
Pic related is what it looks like, but not the one I am getting.

It's a heavy duty diesel pickup. It won't ever break unless you abuse it and/or put 400K miles on it.
It's a decent truck, great for hauling stuff. If you don't have a need for a truck though, sell it and split the cash with his wife. It's the least you could do.

Excellent. Thank you.
His wife is a raging cunt. He worked two full time jobs to support her and she hasnt had a job in years.
Im fairly certain she's the reason he killed himself, and I'd rather not reward her with money.

>His wife is a raging cunt.
You should go and roll some coal into her face then.

Haha, wow. Seen some trucks do that before, didn't know there was a name for it.
I'd love to do that to her haha

If you ever get into trials bikes or something you can use the truck to haul them.

is she good lookin for a bang, Y/N?

In her prime, yeah. She's a about 60lbs overweight now. She pretty much just let herself go once he started making all the money.

Here to ruin your day
It's a 6.0L Powerstroke Diesel. The worst of all the Powerstrokes by a long shot. 2007 is the best year for them, Ford at least tried to have the issues addressed, but Navistar already had the 6.4L on the way by then and the 6.0 was abandoned.
If you want that thing to last you any amount of miles, you need to do the following at a minimum
>head studs instead of head bolts
>oil cooler relocation and upgrade
>EGR cooler delete
>FICM replacement
>coolant bypass filter installation
>decent tuner (SCT seems to be the most popular choice for the 6.0L)
