It's a luxury car alright. Not very practical. Not very useful. Never really a vision of the future. Mostly bought to feel smug.

Reality dictates that we are entering the age of the hybrid, skipping personal EVs almost entirely and going to public transit, electric taxis, and motorcycles/bicycles/walking like the rest of the world, eventually banning personal full sized automobiles unless you can demonstrate a legitimate need for one because they take up too much space on the roads and take up too many resources to manufacture and support.

The tesla itself is a good car, but it has it's flaws. If someone so much as mentions that the tesla is not the best car in the world, hordes of screaming children descend upon them.
