You don't need a Ram 3500 for hauling boats and driving on gravel roads. This is literally the ideal truck for 90% of truck owners. Why do truckfags hate it?
>>
it's oddly small and fuckhuge at the same time

i'd get an odyssey instead
>>
>>17466803
that's not a truck, it's a minivan with a truck bed

although most truck owners would be better off with it
>>
>>17466803
Rather get a Civic.
>>
Does it have true 4x4? Didn't think so.
>>
Its pretty nice inside, and the in-bed cooler is pretty neat.

Other than that though....
>>
>>17466837
This, wake me up when there's a truck like this but it either has real AWD like Subaru's or a traditional 4WD system. Honda """""AWD""""" a shit.

>>
>>17466880
90% of people don't haul race car trailers or actually go off-road with there trucks. OP's initial assertion is still valid

Only a moron would think your argument makes sense. I can take my corolla through some rough shit and probably have a rough time to barely make it, all while abusing the fuck out of it. OR I can get a proper truck and easily make it, all while not destroying it. Again, just because it CAN make it, doesn't make it the best tool for the job.

>5K towing capacity

Right off the bat you can't even tow most travel trailers unless its a dinky little pop up trailer, and then you have to shove all kinds of shit in the "box" to make it work.

Not to mention its a unibody, including the box. I'd love to see how repairable these things are with an impact over the rear axle, probably enough to total it.

Overall, you're better off spending the money on an actual truck that can actually tow shit and not being made fun of by everyone. The Ridgeline is literally laughingwhores.jpg come to life.

This here is it's worst offense, if it at least got better mileage than a real full-size truck the Ridgeline might have something going for it. As it stands though the Ridgeline is a minivan with a bed masquerading as a truck but with lower towing/hauling capacity, "4x4" that doesn't have low-range, and it doesn't even save you money on gas.
>>
>>17466818

A unibody is enough to tow whatever a midsize truck will ever tow, the only reason why Toyota, Nissan et al are still using BoF for their small trucks is because they paid off the tooling and assembly line and it's just cheaper

The new Grand Cherokee with a diesel engine can tow as much as "muh body on frame reel truk" specced out Colorado diesel

The diesel and hemi have the same towing capacity and both are expensive.

You are comparing it to the bottom of the rung truck on the market and it can't even beat it. Also I can go get a diesel canyon right now for mid $30k, brand new. A shitty cherokee diesel starts at about $44k and you can't carry as much as a bed of a truck. Basically, you pay more for less shit just so you can keep memeing about trucks.

Work trucks show work marks, it's inevitable.

That is, if you actually use it for work.

I assumed you meant some kind of work that requires a full-size truck. I guess being a pizza delivery boy is still work, if you're driving it from house to house.

Seems a bit overkill for you to scoot around in. Not sure why you couldn't just use mumma's Sentra.

Yep, can't deny that.

I personally drive a full size truck because I like the way it looks, I like the interior, I like the power, and I like having a nice view of the road.

RAM is the best ride quality, and the best if you don't plan on hauling or towing anything very often. The F150 and Chevy/GMC 1500 twins are better if you actually use your truck for...truck things. Leaf springs vs Independent rear suspension.

You aren't getting this up and over a mountain range with a fucking transit van. Not everybody lives in a flat desolate wasteland. No "just use trailer brakes" won't cut it.

>You aren't getting this up and over a mountain range with a fucking transit van

That depends, how fast do you want to get there, at highway speeds definitely no, but slowing down to 40-55 is always an option.
>>
>>17475498
>but slowing down to 40-55 is always an option.

No it fucking isn't when you have fully loaded semi's passing you and creating a dangerous situation. The DOT will pull your ass over. You need to remember that the average car here is 200+hp and pickup trucks are 400+hp, Going slow won't cut it.

And the Tundra is the best all-around, because it balances payload/towing with reliability and build quality.

The take away point from all of this dickwaving is that every truck has its pros and cons. Chrysler makes cheap, unreliable products - BUT they had the best diesels of anybody.

Of course that's changing now that Nissan/Toyota will have access to the Cummins...but it remains to be seen if Ford and GM will increase their build quality to compete, or keep charging $70,000 for a SUPER DUTY/HEAVY DUTY truck that eats its own transmission after 250,000km.

>>17475443

British are degenerate too. They recently elected to have the state murder babies against their parents' will. There is no saving those limey cunts.

>>17475465

No excuse for using a timing belt these days, other than Jewish tricks to get you into the dealership for a $1500 service.

What is cut block? Is it slab quarrying?

I got a 2003 1500 that I use as a tool and equipment carrier but it still gets dinged up because we often carry out logs with it if we are crunched for time and the dump truck can't get to certain places.

I really need a nice small 2 yd buggy but I need to make some more money first.

>Nissan/Toyota will have access to the Cummins

It's not the 6bt, which is more of a stationary engine than a car engine. The 5.0l will need time to show if they actually built it right but engines designed with vehicles in mind tend to be less reliable than industrial engines. They do have a lower power version for commercial vehicles though.

He's full of shit. There are many vehicles in the USA that can't break 80mph and the average pickup does not have 400+ hp. 350hp is about average for your 2010 and onwards high powered tow mobiles that pull 30'000 lbs.

Nevermind that a semi truck grossing 80'000lbs can be anywhere between 280hp and 450hp.

Realize you're retarded. Learn how to work on your Dodge, because you will be working on it when it breaks. When, not if. When.
