Our cars are taxed based on emissions. Zero emissions cars don't have any tax, depending on how much carbon your car puts out you pay an initial premium (can be £2,310 on high end cars) then a flat rate £140pa.

Leasing makes sense if you swap in the car every year, and if you're sensible.

If you go out and lease something that's 25% of your monthly income you're a fucking retard. However leasing starts to make sense if you want a newer car and the dealer puts all your service and insurance into the package.
